CHURCH AND TOWER OF SANTA CATALINA

Baroque church built on one of medieval origin and extended in the sixteenth century.

It is a baroque church with many elements of neoclassical court as those found in the main façade. From it highlights its cornice decorated with different geometric moldings. Inside, the church has a single nave that stands out for having no columns in the middle, its vault rests on pillars attached to the side walls where open the windows that illuminate inside the temple. The altarpiece is Baroque and is dedicated to Santa Catalina martyr, highlights its shell-shaped and spiral columns on which it relies. On the gospel side we find the altar and chapel of the Virgin of the Rosary covered with a dome on pendant.The tower was built from the year 1756-1772 its height is 60 meters. Neoclassical, its slender tower is decorated with bays with semicircular arches adorned with small decorative columns.
